Proper Attic Ventilation

Attic temperatures in Texas can soar to 150 degrees or more, putting additional strain on air conditioning systems. Good attic insulation and attic ventilation are keys to mitigating the heat build up in your home. Most homes can benefit significantly from cost efficient measures such as adding more roof vents, installing electric power vents, ridge vents, and/or additional sofffit vents. Homeowners should be aware that proper ventilation in winter months is important to prevent moisture buildup, which can compromise the effectiveness of insulation.
